I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedicine at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, and my main scientific passion is diabetes research. I work in research laboratories, where I explore the metabolic processes taking place in our cells and how they contribute to the development of the disease. To me, the lab feels a bit like a playground – complete with its own soundtrack, since I almost always have music playing in my headphones! My work in science has also given me the opportunity to travel to Canada and the UK.

Outside of science, I love taking on all kinds of “side quests”. I’ve worked in television production, spend weekend mornings in the forest, and evenings at concerts. In the summer, you’ll most likely find me sailing, while in winter I turn into an unofficial ski instructor for my friends – no certificate and no pay, but plenty of enthusiasm!
